Welcome to Renew Collies

Dancing Echo is a Scottish Collie, carefully bred by Gracehaven Collies, proudly owned by us, Lenora Braun and family! She has added so much joy to our lives, and fits our family so well. Our youngest boy has basically grown up with her for the last four years, and she is so good with children, and people of all ages. Echo is very sensitive to people, and reads them well. She loves any attention anyone will give her, and quietly persuades people to respond to her with her loving eyes fixed on their faces. She is so polite, yet she usually draws people in to notice her quickly!

Echo is agile, fast, and always ready to run and play, yet she can also enjoy hours spent laying contentedly by a person’s side. She is alert and watchful, and gets along well with other dogs and animals. Her greatest desire is to please, and she responds very well to voice and hand commands, eagerly trying to be the dog we love her to be.

Echo has been bred in an effort to pass on her desirable genetics as far as health, temperament, and intelligence go (not to mention her classic collie beauty!). Though she is first and foremost our family pet, she has proven to be a wonderful mother, and so she will be producing a few, carefully planned and selected litters of Scottish Collie pups. Echo is in the registries of a few groups that are dedicated to preserving, improving, and restoring the old-time Scottish (or simply, farm) Collie of old. You can find her on the sites I’ve included in the side-bar menu. Her lineage is best shown in scotchcollie.org, where I first found the Gracehaven collie line.

Renew Collies is excited to announce an upcoming litter between Echo, and sire, Jenson. Below is his bio, as written by his owner, Lianne, as well as some photos of him. If you wish to ask further questions about either parent of this litter, please contact me, and I will answer, or direct you to Lianne if you wish to inquire further about the sire.

About Jenson: Glen Eilalorne Jenson is a 4 yr old Scottish collie. He has effortless superior movement, and is quick and agile. He has correct conformation, a soft eye, great smile, correct bite, naturally tipped ears and a full but not too dense coat and ruff. He has an exceptionally kind, sweet and loving temperament towards humans (particularly kids) and is friends with the three cats and the other collie in the house. He is intuitive and learns new things quickly. He enjoys frisbee, paddleboarding, canoeing, swimming and chasing squirrels out of his garden. His parents were Scottish collies working on a farm in southwest Ontario. He can be vocal if a stranger comes to the door but is otherwise calm and happy watching tv on the couch or sleeping at the foot of his human’s bed. Jenson is 50 lbs, and is in the ISCC registry. He is a “10”.
